Biography
Short Bio
Sadé Awele is a Nigerian-born artist whose soulful voice and intuitive songwriting have captivated audiences across the globe. Her music blends the rich traditions of West African melodies with contemporary soul and R&B, creating a sound that is both timeless and innovative.
Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, Sadé discovered her passion for music at an early age, singing in church choirs and local talent shows. After releasing her debut EP "Intuition" in 2017, she quickly gained recognition for her powerful vocals and deeply personal lyrics that explore themes of identity, love, heritage, and the immigrant experience.
Having toured over 30 countries and performed at major festivals across Europe, North America, and Africa, Sadé has built a devoted global fanbase. Her 2023 album "Diaspora Dreams" was critically acclaimed, praised for its authentic blend of Afrobeat rhythms with soul and R&B sensibilities.
In October 2026, after seven years away from home, Sadé returns to Lagos for a historic homecoming concert at Alliance Française, Ikoyi—a celebration of roots, rhythm, and reconnection with the city that shaped her artistry.
