The Voice That Moves Nations
Sadé Awele is a Nigerian-born, Vancouver based artist whose soulful voice and intuitive songwriting have captivated audiences across the globe. Her music blends the rich traditions of West African melodies with contemporary soul and R&B, creating a sound that is both timeless and innovative.
Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, immigrated to Canada with her family in her teenage years, Sadé discovered her passion for music at an early age, singing in church choirs and local talent shows. Her sound carries the weight of two worlds—the vibrant energy of her homeland and the diverse influences of her international journey through the diaspora.
After releasing her debut EP “Time Love Journey” in 2020, Sadé quickly gained recognition for her powerful vocals and deeply personal lyrics. Her music explores themes of identity, love, heritage, and the immigrant experience—stories that resonate with audiences worldwide. This earned her the African Fashion and Arts Movement Artist of the Year Award. In 2023, she was awarded as one of the 100 black women to watch by CIBWE.
Having toured over 30 cities and performed at major festivals across Europe and North America, Sadé has built a devoted global fanbase. Her 2024 EP “Intuition” was critically acclaimed, praised for its authentic blend of Afrobeat rhythms with soul and R&B sensibilities. Her song Intuition charted at number 9 in the Canadian online R&B Charts, and was featured at the Atlanta Film Festival music video category. This project also awarded her the Western Canadian Music Awards R&B Artist of the Year Award.
In 2026, Sadé returns to Lagos for a historic homecoming concert—a celebration of roots, rhythm, and reconnection with the city that shaped her artistry.
